First Landmark Bank Opens for Business
First Landmark Bank Chairman John Moore and President Ron Francis recently announced the grand opening and ceremonial ribbon cutting for First Landmark Bank, headquartered in the City of Marietta at 48 Atlanta Street, one block south of the Marietta Square.
President Francis is joined at the Bank by EVP/Chief Lending Officer Terri Bunten; EVP/Chief Financial Officer Terry DeWitt; SrVPs Leigh Pharr and Renee White; and VP/Lenders Heather Pitstick and Matthew Roberts; and VP/Operations Amber Camilla.
Joining Moore and Francis on the Board of Directors are Steve Cole, Dr. Richard Gardner, Andrew Jones, Bob Krause, Linda McKinley, Pat McPherson, Al Pond, Jim Pressley, Bill Smith Jr., Woody Snell and David Swales.
About starting a bank in the current economic environment, Organizing Director Bill Smith Jr., of local insurance agency Little & Smith, said, “Marietta is a vibrant community with strong business and industry. We raised the capital during an economic downturn, and we will thrive by opening a new bank at just the right time as the economy recovers.”
Mr. Smith continued, “Ron Francis has been at the helm of two previous successful de novo banks, the former Chattahoochee Bank and Charter Bank over the past 25 years. He has weathered the economy’s up and down cycles and knows how to manage in both climates.”
First Landmark Bank will be headquartered at 48 Atlanta Street until mid-2009, when it will move to its permanent facility to be constructed at the intersection of the North Marietta Parkway and Cole Street.
