Ronald H. Francis, Chairman of the Board. Mr. Francis has over 45 years’ experience in banking. From 2008 until 2011 he served as First Landmark Bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2011 he became Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and in 2013 he became Executive Chairman. Upon his retirement from banking in March 014, he became non-executive Chairman. Previously, Mr. Francis served as Vice Chairman of Bank of North Georgia from 2004 until 2006. From 1989 until 2004, Mr. Francis served as President and CEO of Charter Bank & Trust Co. and from 1994 until 1999 he served as President ad Chief Financial Officer of Charter Bank & Trust’s holding company Merit Holding Corporation. Merit Holding Company was acquired by Synovus in 1999, and Charter Bank merged with Bank of North Georgia, another Synovus affiliate, in 2004. Mr. Francis has a long history of community involvement. He serves as Chairman of United Arts of Cobb, Inc. He is a member of the Marietta Country Club and Burlingame Country Club.
Joseph D. Chipman, Jr. , Vice Chairman of the Board. Mr. Chipman served as Chief Executive Officer and as a founding director on the board of Lanier National Bank, in Gainesville, Georgia, from 1988 until 2000, when Lanier National Bank was acquired by Century South/BB&T. He retired in April 2002. Mr. Chipman was a senior executive at the Citizens Bank of Gainesville from 1975 until 1988. Prior, he also served as a bank examiner with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance for four years. Mr. Chipman currently serves as the president of the Boy Scouts of America for Area Nine, which is comprised of Georgia and half of Alabama. Mr. Chipman is a member of the Gainesville Rotary Club and the First Baptist Church.
R. Stanley Kryder, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kryder served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Midtown Bank & Trust Company from 2005 until the October 2014 merger with First Landmark Bank. He has over 35 years of experience in commercial banking. Mr. Kryder began his career in Atlanta, Georgia in 1979 with the C&S National Bank and has held increasingly senior executive responsibilities with the following companies: Bank of America, formerly known as NCNB National Bank; Wells Fargo, formerly known as First Union Corporation; and Regions Bank, formerly known as AmSouth Bancorporation. Mr. Kryder served as Executive Vice President of General Banking for the state of Georgia for First Union, now known as Wells Fargo, as well as serving as a Director of their Georgia bank and a member of their Corporate Management Committee. He also led large merger integration teams and strategic initiatives throughout the country. He led a 200 new branch initiative in Florida and managed large business units covering multiple states and lines of business. Mr. Kryder is on the Advisory Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber and is a Director of the Midtown Alliance. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Bankers Association and was 2013-2014 Chairman of the GBA.
Terrence Y. DeWitt, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. DeWitt served as First Landmark’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from its opening in 2008 until his promotion in 2011 to President and Chief Operating Officer. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2013. Previously he served from 2003 to 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of New South Federal Savings Bank in Irondale, Alabama. From 2001-2003 Mr. DeWitt served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Financial Investors of the South, Inc., and its subsidiary Bank of Alabama. In 1998 Mr. DeWitt received the Outstanding Young Bankers Award from the Alabama Bankers Association. His experience in Cobb County includes serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chattahoochee Financial Corporation and The Chattahoochee Bank in Marietta from 1986 to 1990. He began his career with Price Waterhouse in Atlanta in 1983. Mr. DeWitt is a 1983 graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association, the Marietta Country Club, and the Rotary Club of Marietta, where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He serves on the Board of Directors and is Finance Committee Chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the Cobb Community Collaborative.
Stephen D. Cole. Mr. Cole is Chief Executive Officer of Robert Bowden Inc., a wholesale building material company. As CEO, he serves roles in both general and executive management. Under his direction the Company has earned many national and regional honors including: Recognition as one of the Top 100 privately held companies in Atlanta; Top 100 Manufacturers in the U.S. by Window and Door Magazine; Three-time winner of The Atlanta Business Chronicle Gazelle Award for the fastest growing companies in Atlanta; and the Small Business of the Year award given by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Cole holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Georgia. He serves on the Advisory Board of The Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University and has also served on the Entrepreneurial Advisory Board for the Federal Reserve Bank, the Board of Trustees for the Walker School, and the Board of Cobb Landmarks and Historial Society.
Bryan Fields. Mr. Fields is currently involved in real estate investment and development of retail properties in the Southeast. Recent projects are located in Florida and Georgia. He was a founding partner of Millenium Retail Partners, a retail real estate consulting company that has now ceased operations but previously worked with Circuit City, BJ’s Wholesale, and Pharmaca stores. Prior to his retirement in early 2002, Mr. Fields served as Senior Vice President of Real Estate for Home Depot. In that role, he led both domestic and international real estate activities for the company as it expanded its traditional stores, Home Depot Expot, various concept stores, Home Depot Supply, plus office and distribution facilities. Mr. Fields joined Home Depot in 1984 when the company had only 19 stores. When he retired, Home Depot had grown to over 1,300 stores.
D. Kimbrough “Beau” King, Jr. Mr. King is President of Kim King Associates, LLC, a real estate development and investment company founded in 1972. Kim King Associates develops retail, office, residential, and mixed use properties, primarily in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Prior to joining Kim King Associates in 1999, Mr. King was a Vice President at B&I Lending, LLC, a small business lender which specialized in government guaranteed lending, primarily through the USDA and SBA. Mr. King worked with various community banks across the southeast to originate and underwrite loans in a variety of industries and market. Mr. King serves on the Board of Midtown Alliance and lives in Midtown Atlanta.
John H. Moore. Mr. Moore has served as the Managing partner of the law firm Moore, Ingram, Johnson & Steele, LLP, since its inception in 1984. He specializes in real estate and zoning law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Cobb County Bar Association, Georgia State Board of Bar Examiners, Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism and the Council for Quality Growth. Mr. Moore served as First Landmark Bank’s original Chairman of the Board. Mr. Moore is active in a number of charitable and civic organizations in Cobb County.
David B. Sinyard. Mr. Sinyard has served as Managing Director and Principal of Corporate Finance Associates, an international investment banking and strategic advisory firm, since 2009. He has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, operations and commercial real estate. Mr. Sinyard’s career includes four years with a boutique investment bank, seven years as CFO and COO of two private equity start-ups, seven years at Holiday Inn Worldwide as SVP Corporate Finance and Development and Treasurer, and eight years in the commercial real estate finance industry.
William D. Smith, Jr. A Marietta native, Mr. Smith is Vice President of Little & Smith, Inc., an independent insurance agency with a long history in the Marietta/Cobb County community. Mr. Smith is a member of Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia and serves on the industry’s Advisory Council with several insurance companies. Mr. Smith serves on the Board of Directors of Buckhead Baseball, the Atlanta Junior Golf Association and Pace Academy. Mr. Smith’s civic and social affiliations include Rotary, the Atlanta Forum, Marietta Country Club, Capital City Club and Peachtree Golf Club. Mr. Smith resides in Atlanta.
David B. Swales. For more than thirty-five years Mr. Swales has provided quality workmanship as a developer and builder in many prestigious communities throughout Cobb and Fulton Counties. Mr. Swales began building in Cobb County in 1973 and formed Province Properties, Inc. in 1985 and later established Province Development, Inc. Mr. Swales’ honors include several professionalism awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, of which he is a member. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the Cobb County Home Builders Association. Mr. Swales is a long time resident of Cobb County and a member of the Marietta Country Club.
